The Colorado Arabian
Breeders Alliance, non-profit corporation, was formed in February 2006 in
response to a decline in Arabian breeding, particularly among the small
family based operations. The rising costs associated with breeding to
the very best stallions and the overall costs of breeding, care, and showing
have, in part, contributed to this decline. We, as an Alliance, are
dedicated to reversing this trend, not only by making the initial breeding
purchase affordable, but also through education, mentoring and providing an
outlet to showcase our beautiful Arabians as family companions and versatile
athletes.
Not to be overshadowed by
our dedication to preserve and improve the Arabian breed is our commitment
to support, both economically and socially, individuals and organizations
which recognize the value of horse ownership. This is what brought us
to be an affinity partner with the Griffith Center for Children, Trails
to Trust program.
Our
Mission:
The Colorado Arabian Breeders Alliance is
dedicated:
To preserve the legacy of the Arabian horse –
its unique history, tradition, beauty, versatility, athleticism and
companionship.
To preserve and
perpetuate the unique characteristics of the purebred Arabian as identified
by the breed standard.
To participate in a
variety of disciplines so that we may compare, evaluate and continually
strive to improve the quality of the Arabian horse in our breeding
selections for future generations.
To increase visibility of the Arabian horse
and broaden the Arabian’s appeal to the public.
To educate current
and future breeders through clinics, seminars, mentoring and the free
exchange of information and research.
To encourage the improvement of other horse breeds through the use of the purebred
Arabian stallions in respective breeding programs.
To place the health
and welfare of our horses first and foremost, protecting them against any
practice that may cause them mental or physical harm.
To promote
fellowship, enjoyment and good sportsmanship among Arabian breeders, friends
and horse enthusiasts everywhere.
To contribute and
support, both socially and economically, those individuals and organizations
unable to pursue the value and benefit of horse ownership and association on
their own
To carry on any lawful
activity in conjunction with the foregoing and to have and exercise all
powers and rights conferred by law upon associations formed under such law
of the state of Colorado.
