Second Seminar with Scott Benjamin a Hit!

The second breeding seminar of the series with Scott Benjamin was a huge hit, held Nov. 7, 2009 at By The Weghe Farm just south of Franktown.  This seminar was a follow up to the previous fall's seminar and after a brief review, got more in depth with the particular strengths and weaknesses of the most popular sire lines used today. 

"I could listen to Scott for hours," concluded Marsha Epstein, and echoing the thoughts of many participants.  "It was more specific, which is what I wanted this time around."  Scott's presence in Colorado is generating national appeal as participants to the seminar were not just local.  It was pretty close as to who traveled the farthest between Strawberry Banks Farm breeding manger Michelle Valone and Episode Farm owner Patti Murphy from North Carolina.

In addition to just being a classroom, the participants also got to be hands on with some horses generously supplied by CABA members.  This added a much appreciated dimension of being able to see actual examples of what was talked about in the presentation; 3 stallions and 3 mares were presented.
